I’m Jen Randall, a director and editor who aims to empower, entertain and challenge viewers with emotive narratives and a quiet sense of fun. 

For over a decade, I’ve relished opportunities to unearth the unique creative threads that make intimate, character-driven narratives authentic and universal. I firmly believe in championing female voices and have repeatedly done so in the adventure documentary world. 

My films have been distributed across international cinemas, awarded major prizes at mountain film festivals, sold for broadcast, and gained large online followings. I’m currently most excited about editing, directing and story development work, with goals that include taking my skills to the wider documentary arena, creating work with an environmental slant, and helping more marginalized voices find a platform. 

In my own time, I can be found questing into the mountains with a stills camera in hand, trying to learn the piano in my living room, or taking slow walks in the woods with my beloved, elderly rescue dog, Crux.
