It’s a rare thing to capture conflicting parts of a woman’s identity being wrestled into coexistence, but that’s what I’ve been up to lately.

I’m delighted to be directing and editing a Patagonia documentary about alpinist Anne Gilbert Chase as she untangles what her life as an alpinist looks like now that motherhood is in the mix. After two expeditions into the Alaska Range, we’re into the edit, and I’m full of gratitude for how much Gilbert has given us, for the raw experiences we got to witness, for the team we got to build, and for the time on the Kahiltna glacier I was given through this project. Needless to say I can’t wait to share it.
